‘OTHER FORMS OF DISCIPLINE’

REPLY TO PRINCE OF WALES LABOUR LEADER’S COMMENT (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph Copyright). LONDON, June 16. “I think the Prince of Wales after considering the matter will realise there are other forms of discipline besides shouldering the musket and playing soldiers,” said Mr Georgs Lansbury, Leader of the Labour Party, at a Labour meeting. Mr Lansbury was referring to the Prince’s speech on June 13. “If the Prince introduced controversial subjects he would naturally expect that those differing from him would jolly well say so,” added Mr Lansbury. “The Prince is sufficiently a sportsman to respect his opponents.

“I favour the abolition of the cadet corps. The Prince says I am a crank, but a crank is an important part of the engine.”
