QUEEN AT WINDSOR
WELCOME BY ETONIANS. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyrjrbtl. LONDON, June 15. Despite heavy showers, crowds assembled to see the Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Gloucester, drive to Windsor, where tlie Queen will reside during Ascot week. The villagers have, made a brave display of decorations. Her Majesty received a special welcome at Eton, where she was presented with a gold snuffbox. The Earl of Harewood and Prince Arthur, both old Etonians, joined the masters in greeting her. The Prince cf Wales, as High Steward of Windsor, waited with the Mayor and corporation, at Windsor Castle. The Boy a] servants cheered the Queen’s arrival. The programme will he carried out in. full accordance with the King’s wishes, as if he had been present
