VOTTRE WINS ON TURF BOY. MELBOURNE, .Tune 14. At the Williamstown races the following was the result of the WILLIAMSTOWN STEEPLECHASE. Two miles. Old Homo. 10.12 ...* • 1 Ardoeh, 9.12 2 Tezpur, 30.9 3 Twelve started, including Membo and Aetaeon. Won by three lengths; five lengths. Time, 3.54,' equalling the race record. PORT PHILLIP HURDLES. Two miles. Fulham, 9.6 (Sandiford) 1 Mcnelik, 10.3 (Meredith) 2 Mystic Peak, 10.1 (Douglas) .. 3 Eight started. Won by three-quarters of -a length; thTce lengths. Time, 3.34}. The Point Cook Handicap, one mile and three furlongs, was won by Turf Boy, ridden by Yoitrc. This is Turf Boy’s fifth consecutive win. Two riders were injured in the steeplechase. A. Armsden suffered a broken leg and F. Dummett a broken thigh when Aetaeon fell.
Mr Eric Connolly has sold the New Zealand-bred Queen Helen to Mr E. Sullivan, of Sydney, who will send her to the stud next season.
