A combined kitchen tea evening, in honour of Miss Doreen Smith and Miss Mary Hughes, who are both to be married shortly, was held in the Whareroa Hall last Thursday. r lhe evening was spent in dancing and euchre, the- euchre tables being in charge of Mr Langdon. Music. for dancing was played by the Hastings Road .Maori Orchestra and extras were played by Air and Airs H. Slefl'ert. Euchre i>rizes were won by Airs Campbell and Mr Trott. A statue waltz was won by Aliss J. AlcAneny and Mrs R. Reynolds and a Alonte Carlo by Aliss I. Nicholas and Mr P. Tait. Mr Harry Steffert was master of ceremonies and 1 presented the gifts to the guests of the evening, Air Trott replying on behalf of Aliss Hughes and Air Jordan on behalf ot Aliss Smith.
