SUCCESS OF MR L. A. CHARLES THREE-ACT COMEDY ACCEPTED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ASHBURTON, June 13. A 3-acfc play, “Pedro the Merciful,’’ by Mr L. A. Charles, Ashburton, has been accepted for publication in London This play gained second place in the NeAV Zealand Drama League’s festival last year. A London critic’s review states it is a delicious comedy. Tl.e author is a solicitor and an offinal of the Ashburton Repertory Society.
