MAGISTRATE’S COURT. (From Our Own Correspondent). A sitting of the Magistrate’s Court • was held at Waverley on Wednesday. IMr J. H. Salmon, S.M., being on the !bench. j Judgment by default was given in l favour of P. S. Wright for £1 12s and [court costs 11s, against F. Thomason, i J. M. Mackenzie, licensee of the Waverley Hotel, was charged with I selling liquor after hours, to which I a plea of guilty was entered. A fine of £5 with court costs 10s was imposed. A charge of keeping open after hours was withdrawn. Four local residents were charged with being on licensed premises during prohibited hours and a fine of £2, with court costs, was imposed in each case.
