PLOT TO DESTROY VESSELS
SIN SPANIARDS CHARGED INTERCEPTION OF LETTER .United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright). HAVANA, May 2. Six Spanish residents of Cuba were arrested to-day and charged with plotting to destroy vessels of the Spanish trans-Atlantic line.
The immediate cause of the arrest was the interception of a letter from Barcelona, Spain, allegedly instructing the men to take the necessary action to precipitate a disaster on the steamer Macallanes similar to that on the Morro Castle.
