PUT ON MAINTENANCE JOB (by Telegraph —Press Association.) OTAKI, To-day. About 40 unemployed Maoris left their work at the sanatorium to-day, declining to do maintenance work allotted them. A meeting met the local certifying officer, and a decision, was arrived at that the men should go back to work pending word from the Commissioner. The men held that there wa-s no right to put them on maintenance work.
