A largo sea lion was found asleep on a footpath in 'New Norfolk, twentytwo miles from Hobart. Attempts were made tb capture it, and a lope was placed around its neck, but it broke away and, clambering over a paling fence, escaped into the Derwent River. It was nine feet long and very fat. ■■ ■
