A world record was eouallod in the North Island whippet championships Jield at the Heretaunga, Racing Club’s course at Lower Hutt- to-dav when I. Magee’s White Flash won the North Island open championship of ,200 yards in 11 3-ssoe. The record equalled is held by Rossaway, a Christchurch dog. which beat the American record. Results were: North Island open championship: T. Magee’s White Flash 1, E. Torrey’s Auctioneer 2 ; time, 11 3-ssec. North Island lightweight championship: J. Gough’s Golden Lad I, C. Offord's Pat 2 i time, 13sec.
