THE ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
(To the Editor.) gir,—l have been waiting for an: abler pen than mine to take up the | question of the reductions in the charges of electric power and congratulate the Power Board on achieving what they claimed to be able to do when they took over the old company. Consumers seem to refrain from praise, bht had the cost of power
gone up or remained as it was the paper would have been full of letters complaining of broken promises and the old opponents of the Board would have used the old cry of “I told you so,” hut when congratulations are the order of the day they take the advantages of the reductions as tlieir rights. I desire to congratulate the Board and the engineer on the success of their efforts. I am etc., CONSUMER. Hawera.
