RACECOURSE BROADCASTS.

(To the Editor). Sir, —While I thoroughly enjoyed my two days at the Hawera Trotting Club’s meeting and would like to congratulate the club upon the good management of the meeting, I was disappointed to find that on neither day was there any broadcast description of the racing. The announcer’s remarks and comments during the running of a trotting race add greatly to the enjoyment of the majority of patrons who like myself, are neither experts nor possessed of field glasses. The club lias given us this additional facility for the full enjoyment of the sport in the past And I hope it will be able to see its way clear to do so again in the future.—l am, etc., PUNTER.
