Torrential rain continued throughout the week-end, causing extensive floods in Gippsland. A number of towns are isolated and holiday-makers are marooned.
Bridges have been destroyed' and crops flooded, while telephone, road and rail communication is interrupted. Water is flowing through houses in the township of Tlnamba.
