NEW PLYMOUTH TEAM WINS. CHAMPION TEAMS’ MATCH. (By Telegraph—Press Associations TRENTHAM, To-day. The service championship was won at Trentham. this morning by R. H. Nicholl (Petone) with his final ten rounds application at 200 yards. Nicholl made 41, this bringing his aggregate up to 200 out of a possible 265. Nicholl takes the; Ross Carbine Belt, the gold medal of the National Rifle Association, and £5. F. A. Hiscock (Christchurch) was runner-up for the championship with 198, and AY. N. Masefield (Blenheim) was third with 196.

Twenty-five teams competed in the champion teams match, which was won by New Plymouth No. I team. Teams consisted of four men, who each had to fire seven rounds at 300, 600 and 000 yards. The members of the winning team were F. C. Hogg; A. R. Elgar, O. P. George and O. B. Benton, who compiled a score of 388 out of a. possible 420. They win the district challenge shield, four miniature caps and £l2. Second place was taken by Opaki No. 1 with 387, Wanganui teams No. 1 and No. 2 were in third and fourth place respectively and Invercargill No. 1 was fifth.
