DANGER TO AIRCRAFT

Imperial Airways Forbidden to Use Regular Harbour REBEL ACTION FEARED TEMPORARY ARRANGEMENT itJnived Pr«a* Association—By Eectrio Telegraph Copyright). Received noon to-day. LONDON, March 4. In consequence of the revolution, the Greek Government has forbidden Imperial Airways to employ the regular flying-boat harbour at Mirabella. Imperial Airways have the motor yacht Imperia permanently stationed, there to act as a fuelling base, and fear that the rebels might commandeer the Imperia and the petrol supplies caused the prohibition, but Athens can be used as hitherto. Arrangements have now been hurriedly made for flyingboats in the Empire service to descend at the small Greek island of Kasteloryzo, 75 miles south-west of Rhodes. Two flying-boats in the Africa-India-Australia services were at Brindisi today awaiting instructions to avoid the revolutionary area in view of the danger that the rebels might shoot them in mistake for Greek Government aeroplanes. They will now leave to-morrow via Athens and Kasteloryzo, but would in any case he delayed 24 hours owing to a landslide on the railway by which the mails were carried from Paris to Brindisi.
