Delegates of dairy companies in Ward one of the Dairy Board held a conference to-day to select a candidate to oppose the sitting member, Mr W. Grounds, at the ejection next month. The report supplied said the delegates represented sixteen companies with a total tonnage equivalent to 23,098 votes. A ballot was taken and Mr A. J. Murdoch, M.P., was chosen by a decisive majority.
