(United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph Copyright). Received 2 p.m. to-clay. LONDON, Feb. 20.
Edith Savillo 'was a model housemaid, and when she left the employment of Herbert Stretch for the homo cx a neighbour, Alexander Sim, both living at Cookham Dean, the former sued the latter for damages for enticing her away. Counsel for the defence described it as the most trumpery charge for 50 years. Counsel for plaintiff quoted the Tenth Commandment.
The King's Bench jury returned a verdict for £25 damages and costs on the enticement charge and £250 damages for alleged libel contained in a telegram Sims sent to Stretch, asking him to dispatch Savillo ? s clothing and money owing to her. The costs will probably be in the vicinity of £4OO, so the Sim family’s coveting of Saville’s model work cost nearly £7OO. .Savillo gave evidence on behalf of the plaintiff, with whom she smilingly left the court
