COLLISION NEAR KAPONGA
BUS AND PRIVATE CAR. At Hie intersection of the Palmer and Eltham Roads at about 2 p.m. yesterday a collision occurred between a car driven by* Mrs S .Brown, Palmer Road. Kaponga, and a bus driven by 7 Dir J. S. B. Smith, Opunake. The car was crossing the intersection and the bus was travelling along Eltham Road from Kaponga to Eltham when the impact occurred. The driver of the bus was the only 7 occupant and was uninjured. Both the left-hand mudguards of the bus were buckled, while a rear window was broken. The car was overturned and had the hood torn off and received general minor damage. Dlrs Brown and the children were badly shaken, but their injuries were not serious.
