CLAIM FOR £2358 DAMAGES
STRUCK BY MOTOR CAR ACTION AGAINST FARMER (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, To-dav. Damages amounting to £2358,18s 9d, of which £I7OO are general damages, are claimed by Alfred Herbert Williams, furniture salesman, for injuries and loss suffered as the result of being struck by a motor ear on April S near Glenside. Defendant is Stanley Read, of Levin, a dairy farmer. Plaintiff alleges ■negligence. The Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, occupies the Bench. The jury has gone out to inspect the place. The case is expected to last two days.
