ANNUAL BALL HELD. JVIANY VISITORS EKTEKTAIXED. The annual' ball of the Kaponga Fool bull Club attracted a large attendance on Friday. visitors being present .from Hawera. Normanby. MaInaia. Okaiawa, Kapuni, Ellt-liam, Auroa, Riverlea, Mangatoki and Ma_ hoe and a, very successful event was the result. The hall was decorated with gold, black and white streamers and the supper room was nicely arranged with a display of excellent spring blooms. The tables were the work of dli’s J. H. Tyack and dlrs L. A. Wells and the, hall decorations were carried out by Mesdames A. d\ . Anderson and-3. O’Donagkue. An excellent supper was dispensed -by a committee, consisting of Mes-

damc.s I. Evans (convener), J. H. W. Gardner, J. Guv. J. H. Tyack. V . Keliely, W. Carrington. Belli, L. A. Wells and G. Guthrie. In the absence, of Mr A. E. Gallagher, the president, thanks to sdl who assisted were given by Air Geo. Guthrie. He specially thanked the ladies for their assistance during the.-season as well as on this occasion, and also thanked others who had assisted the: club. Jack Hooker’s Merrymakers played: popular modern and old-time music,, and extras were given by-Misses M. Lillev. U. Weist, Wihnshurst and ML K. Cave. Monte Carlos were won by Mr* J.; Sexton and Miss Kelly, and Mr L Wolfe and Miss. Rotlie and a competition by Air T). "Walker. A bobbins dance was won by Mr Ross and Mbs P. Parker. Messrs W.
