As a sequel to the smash arid grab raid at a pawnbrokers’ shop on September 1, Frank; Edgar Gisbon, aged 18, a painter ) and William Ernest He wins, aged 26, a labourer, pleaded to-day to breaking and entering and stealing 44 diamond rings valued at £ll2. They were eomrnitted for sentence. .
After the theft they went to Hamilton, where Gibson was arrested trying to sell a ring. Hewins reached Wellington, .selling a few .rings on the way, arid when arrested lie handed over 34 rings.
