LONDON,. May 3. In the House of Commons the Prime Minister, Mr Ramsay MacDonald, told Air Hewitt that no suggestion had been brought to his notice as having been made to the Australian High Commissioner, Mr S. MV Bruce, that an Imperial conference be hold at London in 1935 to discuss defence and economic policies in -the. light of the Ottawa conference discussions. Asked if the Government intended to give notice before December 31, 1934, to terminate the Washington limitation, armaments treaty of 1932, Captain R'. A. Eden, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, said it was not at present the intention of the Government to take steps with a view to the termination of that treaty.
