RED KERBSTONES
NEW TYPE IN WELLINGTON A brick curb and channel block has been introduced by the Wellington City Council for use in the formation of footpaths and watertables. H e new type of block has been used ln ; 1 ],Ver Road, between bhannon Stieet and Roseneath, and it is now UiSO d in the Homebush Estate at khandallab, where the construction of a. number of houses at one tune has necessitated attention to the roughly formed streets. The new 7 block is understood to bo cheaper and stronger than the conones and, being medium red. has more pleasing colour than ■;>ncrete.
