RISE IN PRICE OF COAL

An increase in the .retail price o ! f coal is expected as a result "of the truce among the four companies producing Waikato coal, thus ending the coal war which has existed in; the Auckland province for the past two : years. Prices at the' mine will be increased by about 50 per cent.
