TAWHITI WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MONTHLY MEETINGThe monthly meeting of the Tawhiti Women’s Institute .was held in” .the Tawhiti Hall on Friday afternoon. Mrs A. Tidswell (president) presided over a large number of members. Yisitors were welcomed from Tufuturu, Taiporohenui and Ohangai. A competition for the best plate of shortbread drew, excellent entries, and the judges, Mrs Veiteh and IVDs M. R. Jones, awarded the prizes as follows :Mrs Johnson 1, Mrs Elsie Ogle 2. Mrs McKinnon 3. Mrs Yeitch and Mrs M. R. Jones of the local Red Gross Society, gave an. interesting and useful demonstration on bed making for a. sick person, and were heartily thanked. ‘ *•* Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs Patterson and Misses Ogle (2).
