BERLIN, April 28. “I see the possibility of war in Europe in the near future. I am certain that every nation is. convinced war would be a crime,” said Herr Von Papen in an interview. Germany would rather be inside the League of Nations on a basis of equality with other nations than outside. He deified a suggestion that an effort would be made to link the problem of Germany’s debts with the armament question, adding that, such, a junction was impossible. He repudiated the suggestion that -Germany was contemplating ta'king advantage of French political disorder to take the Saar question in her own hands. -- - • - - • -
Herr Von Papen said he hoped Germany’s religious troubles would soon be settled l . Negotiations with the Vatican were proceeding well.
