MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED

COLLISION WITH TEAM,

AUCKLAND SUBURB TRAGEDY

AUCKLAND, April 29

Fatal injuries were 'received by a motor cyclist named Selwyn Dillon, aged! 16, Grafton Road, when his machine was involved in a collision with a tramear in Parnell. Death was almost instantaneous.

The cyclist, who was travelling from the city, swerved to pass a lorry proceeding in the same direction and came into collision with the front of the train, which was proceeding in a.n inward direction on the outward track before crossing to the inward track by the switch rails several yards farther on. The tram taken taken a number of passengers fro nr the city to a stop near Carlaw Park and' was returning. The cyclist was thrown several yards, suffering head injuries.
