The concluding day- of the Pahiatua Racing Club’s meeting was held on Saturday before an excellent attendance, the weather being fine but overcast. The course was heavy. The totalisator handled £4502 10s, against £3798 on the similar day last year; the total for the meeting was £8896, compared with £7725 IQsi at the previous gathering. Jockeys Mullins and Atkins each broke a toe by coming into contact with the rails in the Tane Hack Handicap.
