SYDNEY, April 13. Increases in unemployment work rates, food relief allowances and winter benefits have been decided upon by the Cabinet. Single men on cmergenev relief work will earn an additional Is 7<l and married men an extra 3 S 3d weekly. Increases of about 20 per cent, will be made on all food relief scales, and a further and more generous issue of clothing, boots and blankets will be made shortly. The Premier, Mr B. S. B. Stevens, stated: “We are -able -to do these things because of the State’s improved financial position and the increased employment in industry generally.”
