VETERAN OF CRIMEAN WAR
DEATH AT 104 YEARS. OF AGE, NEARLY 60 YEARS AT NASEBY. (Bv Telc.tfraptv—Press Ase* elation.) DUNEDIN, April 7. The deatli occurred at Naseby on Saturday of Mr. James Archer Crawford at the age of 104 years. He was a veteran of the Crimean War, during which he met the famous nurse, Florence Nightingale. Afterwards he followed the occupation of miner in Australia and New Zealand. He came to Otago in 1861 and for 58 years had lived at Naseby l with hi,s wife, by whom he is survived. t-C
