ST. PATRICK’S DAY MEETING.

•Small but select fields have accepted for the Opunake Racing Club’s meeting on Saturday next (St. Patrick’s Day) and there i® every prospect of a most successful meeting. There is a field of five in the Opunake Cup, the acceptors being Desert Star. Chopin, Gibraltar, Arvada and Richfield. The 'President’s Hack Cup lias l drawn a field of five'—St. Clara. Oriel, Artful Dodger, Lalla Quex and Treasure Hunt. Seven entries have accepted in the Patilci Hack and the Railway Hack, with eight- in the Electric Hack. The Farewell Hack -has drawn a field of nine and the Maiden race a field of 10.
