ELECTRIC LIGHT SPORTS
I-IA AVE R A ATTR ACTION. Athletes representing clubs from Marton to New Plymouth will compete at the Hawera- showground to-night in the largest amateur athletic meeting held in for some years. In addition to West Coast title holders, many of the competitors are of national repute, and exceptionally keen competition should result. A well varied programme will he presented, and there are approximately 280 entries. Cycling events will be a special feature '22 riders, including Wade Hansen and Charteris, haying entered. Most of the Taranaki and Vanganui champions will compete. A dance will follow in the boiesters Hall.
