if an engine refuses to start, continued choking is likelv to prevent the explosion in the cylinder bv letting it suck too much petrol in proportion to air, and it will often start if the choke control is set back to the normal running position. Moreover, an excess of petrol is liable to condense on the cylinder walls and produce unnecessary wear.
