WOMEN’S DIVISION

HUNTER ROAD BRANCH. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Mrs W. E. Carter presided over a small attendance at the meeting of the Hunter Road branch of the W.D.F.U. held on Tuesday. Mrs Carter read the monthly report from headquarters. Mrs N. R. Barrer’s pamphlet on “Dental Deficiency in New Zealand” was read and discussed. Correspondence was received from the Housekeeper Auxiliary, asking for women to join the Women’s Division housekeeper system. The afternoon competitions resulted as follow: Sponge sandwich made butter, Miss F. Seed and Mrs. C. Startup (equal) 1, Mrs Chalmers 3; sponge sandwich made without buttfer, Miss F. Seed 1, Mrs Carter and Mrs Chal(equal) 2, Miss O. Simpson 4.
