WOMEN’S DIVISION
SUCCESSFUL ALTON SOCIAL. There was a good attendance of members and visitors at the Alton Hall this week when the Alton-Kaka-ramea branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union arranged a very successful flag 590 tourney, iollowed by a dance. The winners of the flag 500 were Misses Bourke and Fowler and Messrs. Corbett and Garnet. A work basket competition was won by Mrs Watt of Tutaturu. The dance music was played by Miss Hamblyn and extras were given Tby Miss Sutherland, Mr Laurie Hunt was M.O.
