A Boston message says that lack of necessary funds to purchase things vital to the safety of his men is proving a. serious hindrance to the Antarctic expedition of Rear-Admiral Byrd. He said he required a few thousands more in dollars. “Otherwise we will not go,” he continued. Despite this he said he was confident the money would be raised and the present plans would be carried . out.
