SOUTH ISLAND APPROVAL.
(By Triegrapb—Press Association>. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 29. In the interests of safety on the roads delegates 5 ' to the South Island Motor Union to-day agreed on the motto “No liquor at the wheel,” as an indication of their opinion on the question as to w T hether motorists should drink alcoholic liquor before driving. . . It was stated that the opinion on the subject as expressed in Dunedin yesterday by the president of the Union, Mr F. W. Johnston, was a purely personal expression.
