OFFENCES BY MOTORISTS
FINES IN HAWERA, COURT.
A number of breaches of by-laws and motor regulations were dealt with by Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., in the Hawera Court yesterday. Eric Price was convicted of ruling a motor cycle without a light in Normanby and was fined 10s and costs 10s. On a smilar charge Eric Young; and Harold P. Whitlock were each ordered, to pay costs 10s. Both these defendants were also charged wth driving without a licence and in each case a fine of 20s and costs 10s was inflicted. . .
Qn a. charge of failing to give notice of a turn to the right while driving a lorry, John G. Lippingwell was fined 10s" and costs 10s and for failing to signal when driving a. car and overtaking a vehicle, Allan L. Gordon was fined a similar amount. For driving a motor car without having a driver’s licence, Stan. Burr .stall was fined 20s and costs 10s.
