DEFENCE DEMONSTRATION. CHECKING HOSTILE SHIPS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) LONDON, Sept. 24. The Air 'Force achieved the initial success in manoeuvres at the Firth of Forth on Wednesday. Within three hours the ’planes located every ship over a wide area, hundreds of miles in extent, and foiled for the moment the mock attempt to bombard coastal cities.
