DAMAGE TO WANGANELLA

RUDDER TOUCHES BOTTOM. SYDNEY DEPARTURE DELAYED. (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) SYDNEY, :Sept. 24. The Wanganella’s departure for AVellington has been further postponed till midday on Tuesday. It transpires that when the ship was going across the harbour to fuel one of her big oil tanks, attended by two tugs as she was not under steam, a heavy squall struck the Wanganclla and her rudder touched ground. When she was docked tho damage was found to be much more serious than had been suspected. The ship will probably not he undocked before to-morrow night. The story was unknown till to-night.
