The British air proposals now before the general committee of the Disarma ment Conference begin in a special aii committee comprising representatives, of 18 Powers at Geneva, on Monday under the chairmanship of Senato: Madariaga. The main task before the committee is to determine whether, ii practice, effective international contro of civil aviation can be agreed upor and universally applied. In, ,order to facilitate further decisions on the possibility of abolishing air armaments and thus remove th< menace of bombing from the air. Cap tain R.. A. Eden returns to Geneva to morrow after a short visit to London where he has been in consultation witl British Ministers.
