ULSTER TRANSPORT WORKERS DOCKERS AND CARTERS’ PLAN REQUEST TO EXECUTIVE. RAILWAY DISPUTE SEQUEL. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 1.45 p.m. to-day. LONDON, Fen. 19. 1 Belfast carters and dockers have resolved to ask the national executive of the Transport Workers’ Union to authorise a general strike of carters and dockers in Ulster unless the railway companies enter into negotiations. The executive at London will considei the request to-morrow. Dockers and carters hitherto have refused to handle goods usually carried on the railways, but diverted to the roads owing to the railway strike. A general strike .will bring trade ti. a standstill at the Ulster ports.
