MEETING OF THE BOARD REPORTS 'FOR THE MONTH The monthly meeting of the Taranaki' Electric-Power Board was held at Eltliam on Friday, the chairman, Mr 11. G. Carman, presiding. There were also present Messrs Foreman, Dobson, Knuckey, ' McGuinness, Gernhoefer, Marchant and-Moss. The resident ''engineer (Mr B. H. Goldsmith) reported that the number of consumers at January 31 was 2196. Units generated • during .the month totalled- 856,000. The largest daily output was 30,100 units on Monday, January 30. The maximum demand of 1800 k.w. occurred on the same day. Installations connected during .the month totalled 10 as- compared with 17 last: January. . •
A statement of the finances showed a credit balance of £2356.
The Waitara Borough Council wrote intimating that it would be pleased to receive a. deputation from the board on March 8, to go. into the question of the projected contract between the parties for the supply of electricity to the Waitara Borough. The Taranaki Employers’ Association advised that the Dominion Drivers’ award would be cancelled as from February 9.
