NUMBER UNUSUALLY LARGE
AUCKLAND COURT INDICTMENTS. MOSTLY OF MINOR NATURE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 1. The Supreme Court criminal sessions opened this morning. In his charge to the Grand Jurv Mr. Justice Smith said the{-e were 33 indictments against 31 persons and also two indictments m cases for retrial. One of the latter was a charge of assault and the other 'a charge of poisoning. The number was unusually large, but the charges mostly were of a minor character.
