The chairman of the Board of Cricket Control, Mr. Robertson, stated, on pis return from Sydney that the board bad had a. most satisfactory meeting, and there had been no dissension. Those delegates who were not in Adelaide when the first cable was sent to the Marylebqne Club were satisfied with the action taken. The text of the Board of Control’s cable to the M.C.U. was as follows: “We, the Australian Board of Control, appreciate your difficulty in dealing with the matter raised in out cable without having seen the actual play. We unanimously regard bodviiirb bo\Mmg, as adopted in some of tne games present tour, as being opposed to the spirit of cricket and <lan 'o -ops to the players. We are deeply concerned that the ideals of the game shall be protected, and have therefore appointed a committee to report on the action necessary to eliminate such bowling from all cricket in Australia as from the beginning of the 1933-31 season. “We will forward a copy of the committee's recommendations for your consideration, and it is hoped that we will receive your co-operation as to their application in all cricket.
