MELBOURNE, Jan. 30. At tbe "YVilliamstown races to-dav the Australia Day Cup resulted: Mural Crown 8.4 (Dewluirst) 1; King Colossus (N.Z.), 8.4 (Badger) 2; Sartarcss, G. 13 (Little) 3. Fifteen started, including Eiulanut (N.Z.). Won by a neck; a head. Time, 2.71. TAKAPUNA CONCLUSION BIG' RACE TO EAGER ROSE. PAGANELLI WINS LAST RACE. (Bjl Telegrapn—Press Association.', AUCKLAND, Jan. 30. The Takapuna Jockey Club’s summer meeting was concluded in fine weather with a good attendance. The track was fast. The totalisator for the day handled £22,866 15s, compared with £21,535 on the second day last year, an increase of £1331 los. Hie total for the meeting was £43,229' 15s, compared with £51,611 15s, a decrease of £8382. Eager Rose still had command from Jaeldy Karo and Gay Idea at the turn and won comfortably. Merry Damon took second pure from Jaeldy Karo and Gay Idea was fourth.
