(From Our Own Correspondent.) TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY On Friday evening a most enjoyable party was held at the residence of Mr and Airs H. Wood in honour of the twenty-first birthday, of their daughter, Miss P. Wood. About 80 were present. The dance room, artistically decorated in lemon and black to match the guest’s frock, presented a gay scene to those who took part in the dancing. Competitions were also a part of the programme. After an excellent .supper Miss Wood was presented with a key by her brother a .mil then asked to cut the cake. Mr A. Beesley proposed the toast of Miss Wood, and after musical honours 1 had beer. Recorded her Aliss Wood replied. Mr P. Pease .proposed l the toast of Mr and Mrs Wood, and Mr AYood suitably responded. Mrs'Wood proposed the toast of Aliases D. Robertson and M. Hutchen. who had recently attained their majority. Air J. Gcmhoefer replied on their behalf.
During the evening Aliss E. Alehrtens and All* F. Silver gave vocal items, and Aliss J. Tonics recited. Mrs Attrill .supplied the music, and extras were played by Mrs Beesley, Misses E. Mehrtens and G. Silver,
