INJURY TO TUNNELLER
DELAYED CHARGE EtXPLODEB TAWA FLAT ACCIDENT (By Telegraph- -Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 31. Wounds to his back and both legs and shock were suffered by H. Burrows, a tunneller, of Wellington, last night when engaged on the No. 3 por tal of the Tawa. Flat tunnel. It appears that a blasting charge had not gone off to time and Butrrbws went to investigate. He found the fuse still 'alight and as lie burned away the change fired. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
