NORTH TARANAKI CRICKET
— LEADERS IMPROVE POSITION. NEW PLYMOUTH MARGIN. The New Plymouth Club by its victory over Old Boris on Saturday improved its position in the North Taranaki cricket championship divison and now leads bv four points from Old Boys. The High School team -i® in third position with six points and Western Park is last, one point behind School. j. New Plymouth totalled 1 1 1 for foul wickets (Nasmith 63 not out, Hawkins 38) and dismissed Old Boyis* for 163 (Poipps 43, Sitevens and Allen 29 each). Western. Park scored a good win amiinst School. The former put on 133 runs (Buddi 41, Jones 42. Parkinson 30) and “skittled” -School ior 45. The latter had 11.4 for .six wickets m the second innings at the call of time.
COUNTRY COMPETITION. In the Country competition, Tikorangi (79) won from Taruruttiingi (74), a.ncl' Urenni were easily beaten by Brixton. Tikorangi lends in the ehambiionshin with eight points (four win®), hut Brixton has. six points and lias played one match less than the leaders.
