CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS. ALLOCATION TO WANGANUI. CENTRE MEETING AT HAWERA. This vear the New Zealand crass country’ championships will be neiu at Wanganui, the meeting being allocated to that club by the West Coast ( ) Centre, which met at Hawera last evening. There were present Messrs A. Grant (chairman), A. iv. Fyson, N. Meuli and C. Cummgs New Plymouth Club also ap-j plied for the championships. On the suggestion of Mr. Grant, who referred to the assistance given by the Wanganui Harriers’ Club in arranging a Centre team last season, it was de cided to grant the championships to Waimanui, with a recommendation that ’ the next championships alloted to the Centre should bo held at New Plymouth. . . , ■ The following officials were appointed for the Centre championships at Wanganui: Starter, Mr. i’.
